Everywhere I look in Southeastern Pennsylvania I see paintings to be made! From the rolling farmland of Lancaster to the more rugged woodlands of Bucks, and Berks Counties, there is enough subject matter for painting for the rest of my life. My first love is painting in oils. After decades of producing graphic designs and illustrations, I have at last been able to go out in the countryside and put oil to canvas.
Not only do I like painting landscapes, but I have always been drawn to still-life painting with its simple, beautiful shapes and compositions. I must admit I love to paint fruit, pots, and kettles in much the same way of the great still-life masters of times gone by. Jean-Baptiste Chardin, Emil Carlsen, and Cezanne are some of my favorites.
Many of the paintings shown here are quick studies. Others are more developed. See More Oil Paintings . . .
I love to paint watercolors and gouche, but I have had to paint so many tight, camera-ready illustrations during my career that I yearn to just have fun with it now. I have grown to appreciate the looser work of Charles Reid and am trying to loosen up a bit and have a little more fun. Stay tuned! See More Paintings . . .
